We had a great stay at this hostel in Grundarfjordur! the room we stayed in was surprisingly spacious and had a separate space with a sofa and a big desk. We were lucky to have a room with a nice view of Kirkjufell, and we even got to see the Northern lights from our window one night! the self check-in allowed for flexibility, and there was a sink in our room, making it convenient for getting ready. the kitchen was also great for cooking.
Nothing negative to say. 🌟.

I recently stayed at a lovely hostel in Grundarfjordur. The location was excellent, with all amenities within walking distance and a nearby car park. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were just what we needed for our stay. The Green House where we stayed was spacious and had a nice living room. The room itself was comfortable and had a great sized bed. There were also two bathrooms, which was convenient for the four rooms. The kitchen had everything we needed, even though it was a bit old. it was a great experience.

We stayed at this cute Guesthouse for 2 nights during our 8-day road trip in Iceland. Despite being called a hostel, all the rooms were private and nicely decorated. The shared kitchen and showers were clean and convenient. The central location was a bonus, and the lady who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The newly renovated rooms and bathroom were spotless, and the receptionist was super friendly. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking simple meals. We also enjoyed the view of the mountains and the flexibility of self check-in. Having a sink in our room was convenient, and we appreciated being able to adjust the room temperature.
100% Recommend this hotel.

Spacious rooms with nice living room. Two bathrooms. Missing hand towels and soap. Beds comfy but not very clean. Kitchen had everything but is old. Small if all rooms cook together. Parking space available. Supermarket within walking distance. Nice view of Kirkjufell.

The room was spacious and had a separate lounge area, which was a nice touch. We also had a great view of the famous Kirkjufells mountain from our window, allowing us to enjoy beautiful sunset views. the location of the hostel was excellent, with all facilities conveniently within walking distance and a nearby car park for easy access. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful recommendations for our city trip.
The small kitchen area, which was insufficient for the number of guests relying on it. With only two tables, it often got crowded during meal times.
